Its gonna be my first time going to manchester to see the Haye-Ruiz fight at the MEN. Just want to know what its like there for boxing? View from cheap seats, atmosphere, and most importantly drinks prices in there? Thanks in advance.
Its an ok view but from the top tier its ****, the beer is reasonable and there are loads of descent bars near by,:good
its decent its 3.00 quid a pint a think if ya top tier its a bad seat hard to see ya wanna be lower tier thats decent gd atmosphere aswell
Cheers folks. Nah couldnt afford to be paying for more than the £30 seats so gonna have to make do with the nosebleeds!
Yes thats always a bonus having pubs near by . across the road down the arcade we found a few decent ones .
Is there a sports cafe or any casino's nearby as well? Need to find out somewhere that might show the Hopkins-RJJ rematch too... thats if sky confirm they're going to show it mind you?!
Top tier seats are ok as long as there are screens up. The MEN is a good venue and you'll have a good night in the city center.
When I went few years ago it was alright for Boxing. It is a load of toss for live music if you sit in the top tier though....even made Metallica sound **** live in the MEN.
I sat in the top tier for Hatton v Tackie and I thought the view was fine. Even from there i could see that Matthew Hatton didn't deserve the draw he got in the opening fight.
