Where are they now? Anybody know? Seems like they been gone for awhile or retired.

    Rocky Juarez
    Jeff Lacy
    Zahir Raheem
    Jesus (El Matador) Chavez
    In-Jin Chi
    Derrick Gainer

Hope Juarez, Chi and Gainer comes back to the featherweight. Looks like that division is dead, all they got is John and maybe Linares.

Juarez vs. Barrios may or may not be rescheduled. Chi retired from Boxing and went MMA. Raheem fights in South Africa on July 5th. Chavez was originally going to fight Michael Katsidis, but I'm not sure what his plan is now. He fought a few months ago on Telefutura against Daniel Jimenez (upset Vicente Escobedo) and looked pretty good considering the lay off. Lacy fights Epifanio Mendoza next month on WNF, and possibly Jermain Taylor late this year. No clue about Gainer.

He is fat, but he's not in jail. Just recently he was in the crowd to watch his old m8 ryan rhodes win the british light-middle title by tko. he was talking about a comeback and that he's not officially retired, and that he could make super feather to lightweight. but we all kno he's gone for good from boxing.

i'd like to see him as a promoter/trainer in the uk.

Juarez has just had bad luck with fights getting cancelled. He's had plenty of decent fights scheduled, but either his opponent pulls out or the card he was supposed to be on gets cancelled.

Lacy tore his rotator cuff, spent a long time rehabbing it, and still doesn't look like he's come back fully.

Raheem stays active, but can't get fights because he's dangerous, boring (and hence TV won't cover him) and makes the other guy look bad.

Chavez took time off after the Johnson fight (where Johnson died after the fight), then tore up his knee really bad against Juan Diaz in his comeback fight. He's on the comeback trail, and has been named as a possible opponent for several prominent fighters. Narrowly beat Danny Jimenez about a month ago in what was supposed a fight to get Jimenez in the mix at 135.

Chi retired and is fighting MMA in Korea. Said he wasn't making any money boxing, and the money's much better in MMA over there. I'm not sure whether he's under contract though. If he's not, I guess he could come back for a fight if the money's right, but that probably won't happen because Chi isn't a draw and the ABCs no longer rank him.

I think Gainer is basically retired at this point. He fights on RJJ undercards because they're best friends and it gets him some decent money, but 35 is old for a lightweight, but he barely beat a C level guy in his last fight. If Jones-Calzaghe takes place in the US, I wouldn't be shocked to see him facing either a C level fighter or a prospect deep on the undercard.

Tua was meant to have a fight lined up in July, but nothing's happened.

There were murmers that he might want to take on Chris Arreola.
