That's exactly what I think. I think it was a body shot that put him down in the second fight and he realised he couldn't go through that hell again. No shame there. The Harrison fight was one fight too many.

They had a great show some years ago with all the Manchester fighters on... I think it was where Takaloo KO'd Farnell... Hatton fought Rowlands??? :think

The setting for the infamous "We Are The Champions" entrance.

:good That's pretty well my take as well. Brodie really had been in one too many hard fights, I hope he doesn't take too many more during his comeback attempt. I fear it's destined to be ill-fated. As you say Gaz, you could really tell in the rematch how much the first Chi fight had taken out of him. He would never have lost to a fighter like Harrison in his prime either.

Are you referring to Scott there? Harrison KO's Brodie 9 times out of 10. At their respective peaks Scotty would have had far too much for Brodie in my opinion.

I bumped into Scott 3 weeks before the MB fight in the West End of Glasgow, and he was totally smashed (got my photo with him); so I would suggest that even when Scott smashed Brodie, he was well and truly in the midst of his problems.

Can't see how Mikey beats Scotty........unless he fought the Medina 1 version of Scott. The Harrison that smashed Chacon & McCulloch beats the best Brodie hands down.

Lots of opinion and very little validation there. The "Medina 1 Scott" and "Chacon and McCulloch Scotts" were not different people. The difference was that Medina was a well schooled veteran who didn't allow himself to be bullied, unlike the other two. Brodie was a very good boxer who, prior to the Chi wars, would have given Scott a torrid time.

Farnell came into the ring in a Man United shirt with "Keane" on the back, as a Liverpool fan I got right behind Tak at that point...;)

Farnell, thinking he was the true champion, got totally caught up in the moment. I can understand your hatred though, 19 years is a long time.

Yes we know, we know. You were the best team in Europe once.

Do me a favour, you won the CL but you most definitely were not the best team in Europe. You finished below Everton and had to beg to be let back in the next year.

I don't want to derail the thread, I think "that famous night in Istanbul" speaks for itself.....;oP
