Good to see this guy. He looks pretty good -- far from the awkward, anxious guy who dropped his hands against Foreman. But is he really qualified to be messing around with the Pacquiao/Roach chemistry?

Well with Parkinsons, you have to imagine they may be looking at Moorer as a protege to Roach.

What better way to learn than by dealing with the P4P best.

Roach was Futch's protege and now Moorer is luck enough to play the same role for Roach.
Is he qualified ?, if Roach thinks he is, then he is.

Well I watched the first episode of Pac vs Hat 24/7 and I got the impression he maybe a small distraction ... but Roach said they have similar thinking.... I'm curious how much he has contributed other than telling people to get out the gym, the visitation hours, and most likely telling things Roach may already know. I dunno.. he seems like an alright guy.

Roach has other guys he could develop Moorer on. Why would you let someone this green get in the way of what is, to this point, one of the greatest masterpieces in boxing trainer history?

I guess Moorer wasn't getting enough acting roles.

i agree. Let Moore take over the secondary fighters while Roach leads the boat with Pac. If he needs an assistant he can use Buboy who against OScar showed that he knows his **** and won't be looking to overstep at all.

During this critical timeperiod Moorer should be placed in charge of running Roach's gym, so Roach can focus all his attention and energy on training Pac. I dont really think that Moorer should be interfering with the training of Pacman or should be dishing out any technical advice to Pac....that's Roach's job, and no one knows Pac (mentally, physically, emotionally) better than Roach. Let Moorer relieve Roach of the burden of running Wildcard gym during Pac's training camp so that Roach can focus solely on training Pac to KO Hatton.

Manny lack s bit of solid fundamental technique, and that's where Moorer used to shine as a fighter who learned that from a trainer who emphasizes technique in Teddy Atlas. Taking that into account, if Michael does his job right we might see a few of those Pacquiao gaps in technique ironed out.

Right that's a good point as well. I still think it has more to do with Roach's health. If Roach tries to spread himself too thin in his condition, He could have potentially damaging effects. He's just looking to the future with Michael.

Moorer is a smart guy. Good technical skills himself. I know that he was at least considering coaching for a long time towards the end of his career, it's good to see him take it up.
