Michael Roberts Jr

I see after a few threads on here about Roberts Jr and his and or his managements teams reluctance to step him up was played out on Saturday night. Beat over 10 rounds by Declan Geraghty in Paisley.

Was anyone there? Close fight or soundly beaten?

 

98-92. Fight got changed over weight issues to international challenge title.

 

i think everyone knows i am not the biggest mick roberts jr fan but when i heard it got changed to super feather i felt really sorry for mick jr. imo sam kynoch and mtk has fed mick jr to the wolves. no way was declan geraghty ever going to make feather he looked massive at super feather when he got beat from james tenyson

 

Both boxers missed the weight. Michael was heavier than Declan.

 

Declan boxed well within himself and showed excellent footwork, young Micheal seemed to be forcing his work.
Clear win for Declan imo

 

come on he's about 30 now, not exactly young

 

I presume he is referring to the fact the father is also called Michael?

What next for Roberts? At super-feather he could box Mccorry. Would be a good fight. He won the scottish belt on the same show

 

if he stays at super feather (his dad has always claimed he is a featherweight) then i'd really like to see the ronnie clark fight. they have had some issues on here and other social media and it would be a great clash of styles. the mccorry fight or even a fight with old amateur foe darren traynor (if he is even still fighting?) would also be great fights in scotland
