there was fighting in the crowd, but no one was trying to attack michael watson. that is 100% bollocks. 99% of the crowd were pro-watson.

The ambulance could not get near to ringside because of the fighting, and Watson needed a guard as he left the stadium.

#18. Have you decided to ignore the facts? I have the film. I'm not working from memory. I sat with lawyers, Michael, neurosurgeons and Board officials when I wrote the book. We watched tapes. Michael hired his own security and they walked dazed and in tears by his side at the end. But, you seem to know better. That's good.
#15. I was the only national newspaper boxing writer at the Murray fight. I have written about it in both The Daily Telegraph and Sunday Herald. I have Murray's blood on my notepad. It was a truly amazing night.

    Adios.

I would like to see the articles and pictures as well. I remember the fuss at the time, and I thought it was dead right, but if there is evidence to show otherwise then I would to see it.

Yes I am working memory, but Watson was streched out, with his secrtiy around him, and the ambulance could not get any closer because of the trouble.

Surely even Buncey cannot defend the behaviour of some boxing fans that night?

Mind you, LOL, I did not realize you were Steve Bunce, now how do I sort out my Sentana signal from breaking up in my room?;)

Alos I will say, I do sometimes disagree with your views, but at least you talk with charisma and a passion for the sport and know your stuff.

Steve I think you may have referenced it in one of your boxing monthly columns aswell because I remember some journalist writing about their blood stained notepad from that fight but it's from at least 2 years ago now .

One of the most incredible all scottish fights you'll ever see... tragic ending aside. This fight needs to get the respect it deserves IMO. Murray and Doherty both should recieve the accolade for taking part in the best all scottish fight of all time.
