I feel like he's very under appreciated on here. He was an excellent fighter and a h2h nightmare in his prime. Toney knocked him out with one of the few meaningful shots he landed that fight. As I recall Nunn was at times putting on a clinic and it wasn't even close on the cards. Huge scalp for toney nonetheless.
Expectations may have got a tad ridiculous,but just look at that run of victories I posted. That run would guarantee a first ballot lock for the HOF in today's diluted criteria.

after he starched Kalambay in 1 round, no one wanted to fight this guy. Hearns, leonard, Duran all those guys were still around and HBO tried to put all those together and they wanted none of NUNN....
