    Hopkins broke Pavlik.
I don't think we'll ever see anything noteworthy from "the Ghost" again.

I disagree. Although getting aboxing lesson at the hands of an ATG can be an humbling learning experience there's certainately no shame in it. I think he doesn't have too many options at 160 with exception of Paul Williams and will eventually get around to fighting him. Kelly will be back he's a warrior.

Well, Hopkins wasn't quite pushed onto Pavlik. The PW fight couldn't be made because Arum and Goosen were having a catfight, but KP did turn down staying at MW for, admittedly, a low payday against a low calibre fighter; and he asked for a bigger fight.

I agree with the highlighted part...

Even though he lost to B-Hop, he learned a lot more in defeat than he would have against a lesser MW.

The B-Hop fight came out of nowhere. He was preparing to fight PW. Heard it from the horses mouth. The next day, press release on a tentative B-Hop fight.

bottom line is he needs to keep fighting. ****, it's up to him AND his promoter to get things moving and everyone seems so busy trying to find the PERFECT opponent they're fogetting that he should be keeping active. this kind of lay off is horrible for fighters...especially someone fighting at the elite level. He needs to get fighting 3 or 4 times a year and let the great fights come to him. Otherwise, skills erode over time and a challenger will come along, staying sharp with regular fights, and give Kelly hell or beat him because the promoters are playing with their dicks instead of doing their jobs

Exactly. The guy is the freaking reigning middleweight champion of the world; he needs to quit moping about and get in the ring.

good stuff. reading some of the hate posts/threads you would think his life is over. yeah he's on a run of not so good luck but things will turn around...you just gotta stay active. hell jt got stopped after being only seconds away from a title and now finds himself in the biggest boxing event in quite some time so things can turn around just like that. it aint the end of the world and as a big pav fan i'm not worried about him at all...its his handlers that worry me. uncle bob needs to get him in the ring and fast.

arum may have to accept some of these smaller offers from hbo for the time being and just consider it an investment in the future. keep kelly busy and winning and understand the bigger purses will come (should he keep winning)

 That's funny but it seems that Pavlik is just following the Mayweather plan. Beat the lineal champ and you don't need to fight any top fighters ever again. If it don't make money then it don't make sense.
