Missing Ringside? I am, if BN can afford an hour long show which I have now started watching (although it looks cheap and Bunce annoyingly says "OH Yes " every five minutes its an informative show Steve Lillis knows the sport inside out and the Billy Graham interview was good.
Cant Sky do something similar nothing flash just Johnny Nelson (no Adam Smith please) a sofa and a bit of boxing chat ,call me old fashioned but I dont like the pre staged planned videos on skys website all just promotional stuff.
Come on Sky get something back on screen I pay you enough every month to buy a half decent sofa at least:yep

    Am I missing...

Adam Smith say the word "Fascinating" 36 times per episode?
Johnny Nelson shadowboxing with the guests?
Johnny Nelson put on a yankee accent?
Johnny Nelson fluff his lines 6 seconds into the show?
Bob Mee talk about some boxer who died 109 years ago?
Ed Robinson's terrific polls (Manny/Floyd - who wins?)
    Boring guests?
The usual commentary teams as special guests?

Oh yes, I'm missing "Ringside" alright!

In all fairness, I've got rid of sky sports as sky are just taking the p*e out of the customers (and now every decent show is ppv, no thank you!) but I did miss watching it a bit, but it was getting to be a very stale format towards the end.

Am I missing ringside, no it was way past saving the weekly helping of johnny and Adam hamming things up and having a match room love in . Then you'd have Adam pulling faces and having a gay experience when interviewing a big guest .

It's a shame they ditched it as it was the only place that you could see a bit of small hall action on TV.

I agree that it's strange Boxnation can run a boxing hour weekly but Sky have dumped theirs.

It's strange a dedicated boxing channel can run a weekly boxing hour but not a multi sport channel where boxing is below football, f1, ashes cricket, darts to name a few in the priorities list

This sums up just about every episode lol. Although I still watched it most weeks. I like the boxing hour on BoxNation. Its stripped back pure boxing talk. Lillis and Jones know their stuff. Bunce is a bit of a rocket but it works.

I haven't watch bunceys boxing hour in a few years. Do they talk about all boxing or just boxnation related stuff. And do they get good guests on?
****ed me off the way ringside would 90% talk about sky sports stuff

they are replacing ringside however with an online programme that will be on Sky go. It wil be a dailly broadcast rather than a weekly could end up being better. An interview with Koogs and Johnny and this is what he revealed think it wil be starting as of next month?

ringside was only good for getting two boxers into an environment to have an extended interview

eg groves froch, groves degale, haye klitschko

other than that it was ****

people can moan all they want but it was better to have it than not have it .... any boxing coverage/news that is on tv is welcome the more exposure it gets the better.
