If it was true, it would be a strange move IMO. It's not like Rios would ever have came to England to fight Mitchell and if there were issues surounding him getting into America to fight, then what was Frank meant to do? As others have said in a number of threads, the fights made by ****** for Murray and Burns seem to have the side intention of putting Mitchell in position for a big fight along the line. I'd like to see him have another tough comeback fight too preferably, maybe for the European or something. As I say if true, it's a little strange.
Naughty move if this is true, Frank's done a great deal for the lad not just as a promoter but as a man. I can see maybe Kevin not liking the fact Frank lets him know he owes him bigtime.

Nice find pal :good That last bit i highlighted in bold is what i believe is the truth. I think Kevin knew before the fight that Frank hoped Murray would win it. Clean record and fact he didn't **** him about and let him down with regards to Katsidis fight.
Maybe fwank is feeding Murray to Rios just to get the card on boxnation, and he's only a euro level fighter, where as kev has plenty of scope yet, think he will be a world champ.
Murray done exactly what Mitchell done in regards to being on the **** before a fight in reports are true (quite sure they are) i agree tho, reckon Frank was gutted when Mitchell won
Why is everyone so certain Frank wanted Murray to win? Mitchell seems to me the more marketable of the two and has had greater exposure to the public with the Katsidis fight - even though he got battered.
Nah' Murray had the whole unbeaten thing behind him before the Mitchell fight. Whenever Murray was mentioned in the press they always said "the fighter with the longest unbeaten run in the UK" The casuals love an undefeated fighter, look at Hatton and Calzaghe for instance
