MMA circuit training

    I'm looking for exercises i could use to put in a circuit which will be specific to mma. I was thinking i could use sprawls, agility hurdles. That's all i have for now. Flipping tyre is another. I would like to get a few more exercises and mix them up and shape the circuit to suit my needs.

    There's millions on youtube, your looking for compound, fuctional, plyometric and chain excercises- or a combination of each.

    mainly functional exercises specific to movements used in a mma fight. like sprawls, agility hurdles for footwork. etc.

    what do you mean by chain exercises.

    Barbell complexes are good for conditioning. Think that may be what brown is refering to as chain exercises?

    I dont like MMA but that anerobic intense training is great nothnig like it

    It's not necessarily specific to MMA but it's a good exercise.

    It combines five movements into one: 1) the power clean; 2) front squat; 3) push press (from front of shoulders); 4) back squat; 5) push press (from back of shoulders). Rinse and repeat! Most call for 7 sets with five rounds of sets (rest in between rounds).

    It's worth a try.

    dont knock it till you try it, i was strictly boxing aswell until a started some mma training, i have been converted, the mma training is more fun and you can mix it up with my boxing, jiu jitsu, wrestling and muay thai. After only boxing for about 4 years i can say i love kicking people more then punching them in sparring. There is nothing like choking someone out.

    I agree.

    I already do boxing and kickboxing, would love to add jiu jitsu to that.

    trust me man jiu jitsu is sick, i thought it was a little gay until i got choked out. I would rather get punched in the face anyday before getting choked or submitted. I have just started freestyle wrestling aswell. A bit of variety keeps the training intersting.
