If suddenly boxing were to have a system similar to MMA (where there is one dominant promotional company), would it be better, worst or similar to the present system? By present system im referring to the many promotional companies, alphabet world title sanctioning bodies, ect...

Some benefits would be the top match ups would be more easily made, so you could potentially avoid a Mayweather vs Pacquiao situation. An example of a negative would be many repetitive title fights (as seen in the UFC today).

Also how similar would the new system be compared to MMA's current system, considering there are many more boxers then mixed martial artists and the higher boxing purses.

    100% better for fans atleast.

We'd see competitive matchups time and time again, we'd all know who the champ was and there's no ducking allowed.

The fighter's probably wouldn't get paid as much and they wouldn't win as many titles, but that's a problem for the management team, not for the fans.

It wouldn't work. Boxing is too big of a sport with so many participants across many weight classes to be under one promotional umbrella. A UFC type company would literally have to do multiple shows every single day to keep that size of a roster active.

In a perfect world 1 or 2 sanctioning bodies is what would be best, The alphabet soup championship belts is 1 of the biggest issues in boxing at the moment.
