MMA VS Boxing

    A year wouldn't do it, unless Floyd turns out to be a wondrous grappling phenom. In fact, even if he was it wouldn't help, GSP is way too big and strong and he would just manhandle PBF like a child as soon as he gets a good grip on him.

    It's a pretty simple equation: Boxers are great - GREAT - with their hands. That's not enough. You have to BE a great wrestler to resist a great wrestler's takedowns. You have to BE a good BJJ guy to resist a good BJJ guy's submissions. If a boxer wanted to give up on his boxing career and train wrestling or BJJ full time, sure he would be a hell of a fighter, but that's never gonna happen because top boxers make 100x the money top MMA fighters make.

    As someone mentioned earlier, Cintron would be your best bet as he has a little head start with his brief wrestling career. He would still need a ton of work though.
