Correct! Look at Holyfield. He made over a 200 million in boxing and just a few years ago had to file for bankruptcy. Same with Tommy Hearns.
The real question is who would you consider in the majority of cases to be most at fault? The fighter themselves Or an outside influence such as promoter manager hangers on etc?
haha this is damn right funny.. they don't deserve it to ever earn some decent money again.. like i said before in another similair thread.. there are millions of people who work there ass of to provide for themselves and there family. and then you have some boxer or another athlete who has to opportunity to make himself and his kids financielly save for several years (and in holyfields case forever with that amount of money) and then you end up broke.. well most of them are just plain dumb.. bying big houses and 25 cars and having a whole entourage around you who feast of you.. (like ali had that bundini guy). i can only laugh at this
the fighters.. they are grown ups who can make there own descisions. don't listen to managers put the first million in the bank. and the second also. and maybe spend the third. but the fourth and fith again on the bank..
I will tell you another interesting factoid. Most people who win the national lottery end up with nothing in a few years. When you win it they take you into a room and offer you advice on investing it. Most people just say "no thanks Il have the money now and spend spend spend".
yeah i heatrd that also.. but they are dumb asses aswell. same as that saying :"money doesn't make you happy". well **** that. it can sure take away a lot of problems..
