Self Explanatory: Ruiz caught lightening in a bottle beating up and stopping unified Champion Joshua. In the rematch he showed up doing his best impersonation of Butterbean and was outboxed by Joshua into oblivion. Fury played around, waived, stuck his tongue and danced to what appeared to be a decision (despite a couple extremely rough spots) in the first fight. Fury put all jokes and games aside in the rematch, came in heavier, and brutalized Wilder taking his 0, his title, and ending his reign. Both rematches were fairly decisive regarding how many levels the winner was beyond the loser and quite frankly a rubber match isn't necessary. But between the two, which rubber match is "more" pointless. Discuss........
Fury/Wilder 3 is more pointless. The rematch wasn't a contracted one, it was demanded by the fans after the 1st was a controversial draw. Fury removed all doubt in the rematch with an emphatic win. With Joshua/Ruiz - Ruiz won the first emphatically and was contracted to a rematch in which Joshua won a comfortable decision. So it's 1-1 and a third would actually have a point to it. That said, I'd rather see Wilder/Fury again than Joshua/Ruiz.
Ruiz wasnt in shape and went 12 rounds despite eating harder shots than Wilder did.... and he still have AJ tentative and hesitant. Wilder last 7 rounds, was in shape, strong... and barely threw anything... and was on the backfoot all day getting bullied and violated like a 18 year old house maid.
Actually both are important Rubber-matches. Both saw Fury & Joshua at their most vulnerable state of their lives
I'd go with Joshua/Ruiz being more pointless, because Ruiz will always be fat and always have slow feet. Wilder at least has that eraser.
Looong 10 count vs slightly premature stoppage (Wilder didn't want it stopped). In a year Wilder maybe stronger & Fury maybe at the deep fried snicker buffet
Obviously Wilder v Fury 3 is the more pointless match. What % of people didn't have Fury winning the 1st fight ? I'd say probably 80% or 90% had him winning, and most of the minority thought it was genuinely a draw. Very few stick their necks out and said Wilder won that, and they are mostly morons. Most people have the series 2-0 to Fury and the second fight was an absolute beating. Wilder was fit for both fights. I'd enjoy watching Wilder get beaten up again though. He's talking crap again, isn't he, the big dosser.
I'm interested in your research on the moron index of Wilder Fury fight scorers. But you are right, a third fight is pointless and blocks the Fury AJ fight. Wilder knocked Fury down twice giving him a 4 point lead over Fury for those rounds, but in the remaining 10 rounds Fury dominated. Did he dominate more than the 7-3 required to win? I personally think so, but I have seen worse decisions.
The first fight was 10-2 for Fury clearly, the second was g**** ***** and Wilder was KTFO. No need for 3rd. This one was the rematch for Wilder, cause he lost the first one clearly. Joshua - Ruiz has more sense, cause result is 1-1. I don`t buy the excuses Ruiz had, before the fight he was saying he is in great shape, and blq, blq, blq, and after the fight it was all excuses. And i don`t care if he eat everything and if he didn`t train enough time or properly, its his fault and this should not be used as excuse. When you are a champion you have certain obligation, or you don`t have place in the Pros.
I'd say Ruiz-Joshua because at least I wouldn't mind seeing Fury-Wilder 3. Joshua-Ruiz I couldn't care less about since the second fight sucked balls anyway.
If AJ and Fury won't fight each other, I'd be interested in seeing them fight common opponents. Let AJ fight Wilder and Fury fight Ruiz. See what they make of them. Wilder can finally fight Whyte or Povetkin.
Easily Fury vs Wilde. Fury's already proved twice he's better than Wilder he doesn't need to do it again.
Ruiz actually won the first fight, and he was clearly unprepared in the second. A third fight just might be competitive, which you cant say for Wilder Fury
