Just got Mosleys career set on dvd and was watching his first few title defences at lightweight against Manuel Gomez and Demetrio Celebos (both decent fighters who hung with him) and was wondering what a fight would like against JMM? Jmm is technically perfect but Mosleys speed, power and body attack would make it great. Would it be to much for JMM or would he be able to counter and catch Mosley?

    Mosley.

Too much speed, power and size for JMM to cope with for 12 rounds.

No offense to JMM but this would not have been competitive at all, we all know about SSM's size and power at this weight but his SPEED was unreal, in his prime he was 1 of the fighters fighters ever, JMM would've got KTFO inside of 8 IMO.

I don't think anyone reasonably close to JMM in size and weight dominates him or knocks him out. Mosely included.

Juan Diaz is not 1/3 a puncher a Mosley is and he very visibly hurt Marquez with a left hook. Mosley is faster than Baby Bull, though not quite a voluminous, and has a great left hook. I don't think Mosley would jump on Marquez from the get go since that is not his style. It would probably drag out to about the 3rd 4th round where Mosley catches Marquez and puts him down. Mosley is a good finisher and Marquez will go down fighting but I just don't see how he can win this.

That said you never know.... I mean Pac is a far superior puncher to Diaz too and he could not put him down (and out). But the logical choice would be Mosley KO 4.

Shane by KO. Too much speed and power for JMM at 135.

i don't think Mosley fought anyone near Marquez' caliber when he was at lightweight. It would be an interesting fight but don't count out Marquez' experience and accuracy. I definately don't think its a 1-sided fight. It isn't

Just like Pac, JMM in his last 3 fights has shown excellent ability to beat old and shot fighters as well as limited pretender so I am convinced that he will beat a 37 yr old Mosley!:good
