I didnt get to se this fight. I know Alvarez won a UD. Somebody break this fight down for me please, post scores if you got them.
119-109 Alvarez. Mosley was game and gave it everything he had. Unfortunately for him (and fortunately for Alvarez), he's an unrecognizable shell of the fighter he used to be. Alvarez fought in spurts, but landed loud and powerful combinations when he let his hands go. I didn't think Mosley was going to make it the distance around the half-way mark.

Mosley came out more determined than vs. Pac and with better stamina than vs. Floyd, but altogether just as past his best. After a slow 1st round Shane probably took on output, Canelo started to time Suga from the 2nd and landing some pretty big bombs, and staying throughout in the 60%(!!!) connect% category powerpunch-wise. A seemingly intentional headbutt by Mosley opened a cut on Canelo's face and blood was going everywhere, but the corner did a fine job to stop the bleed. It went on with Mosley constantly trying - unsuccessfully - to get something successful going while Alvarez picking his punches well and doing okay on the defensive, but not perfect. Then in R9 a left hook to the body hurt Mosley, follow-up head shots as well, but the old man fought back, taking the punishment like a man, not a good sight for Shane fans. In the end I think Saul took his foot off the pedal and there were some exchanges till the final bell. Canelo basically won all but 1 or 2 rounds, super-high connect %s, but not great on the defensive stats.
An altogether entertaining war. Alvarez was never really hurt, and fought much less cautiously than usual. At one point Mosley had him on the ropes and threw a flurry of about ten-fifteen punches like he was training, good defense. Alvarez had a cut early on from an accidental clash of heads, but it didn't seem to bother him despite being just above his eye, Mosley put the stick to it as much as he could. Mosley was tagged with real bombs, sometimes in brutal succession all night, but displayed a champion's chin and heart. Alvarez proved he can deal with real speed, and was occasionally caught with real power, and just shrugged it off, when he wasn't plain avoiding punches the footwork of which is surprising to see from Alvarez (he never once plodded for long periods), and asserted long range tactics successfully, as well as finishing skill, just didn't make a difference against Mosley's chin but slowed what he might have done quite a bit. Mosley was warrior of the night for surviving as well as he did in my view, but Alvarez is just getting better with each fight. Think it was clearly 7-8 rounds to Alvarez in the end.
