Mosley vs Pavlik

I was thinking of possible fights for Mosley since no one seems to wanna step up.
Then i thought why not Mosley vs Pavlik? This fight would give Mosley a title at MW. I also think Mosley would defeat Pavlik probably via TKO.
Specially with Richardson in his corner.

Here is how i see it playing out:
Pavlik would come out with his 1 2s and try to overwhelm Mosley but as we saw in the Margarito fight Mosley has a great jab of his own and plenty of speed power and physical strength to tie up Pavlik and do some damage on the inside.
Also Pavlik has a 75" reach while Mosley has a 74" reach. Thats not much of a difference the height is where the most difference is at.

However I dont think Pavlik can beat an iron chinned Mosley who will be alot faster than anyone Pavlik has ever faced. Including Taylor. Also so much heart that he would have to knock him out unconscious to get that win.

Anyways back to the fight. I see Mosley landing plenty of his shots on Pavlik that a stoppage would come at around the 11th round. Probably from a dosage of great MOsley left hooks.

Mosley struggled at 154 - he has no chance of beating Pavlik at 160. None. At all.

 

Shane is one of the best in the game. He has grown into a very convincing welterweight. However, if you're going to keep Pav off of you, you have to hit harder than Miranda, be faster than Taylor, and move like Hopkins. Shane only has the speed. He'd get bullied and beat up.

Shane was never really impressive at 154,at 160 with Pavlik's size and strngth he would destroy Shane.

This is what I tend to agree with. I mean I'm a big Shane fan and if he could carry his 147 performances up to 160 and be comfortable at the weight of course he has a chance.

But he's never impressed me at 154, and you saw in his most recent fight against Mayorga how he struggled with the higher weight yet again. Therefore I think by virtue of Pavlik being much more comfortable at the weight more than anything, he takes this.

 

You're getting Sugar Shane confused with Sugar Ray.

 

mosley aint going to 160 unless he is really desperate for a fight and maybe its big money.

the only person he would probably fight at 160 is Tito if say tito cameback and could actually make 160.

Everyone has a chance but in this case its just not a very good one, Pavlik is too big for Mosely.

 

Too late in Shane's career, If Mosley was in his 20's I might entertain this.
I'll pass. Mosley can't do Middleweight.
