Name me some of the boxers who were always cool no matter how much duress they were under.

Monzon was always calm no matter what he went through.

James Toney effortlessly slipped punches and even ate a few, but he never panicked he just stayed in position and calmly countered everything that came his way. Even against the non stop Jirov and the monstrous punching Samuel Peter!!!

A come back George Foreman was as cool as a cucumber, even after Holyfield bounced a 20 punch combo off his head.

Who else was terminally hip and fatally cool?

Monzon is the ultimate answer here. Always relaxed, composed and in charge. Probably the "hippest" and"coolest" of fighters, for my money.

JC Chavez always seemed very relaxed either in a firestorm...or in Track-to-Whack mode when hunting down a speedy Runner...

Mike McCallum also seemed to go about his Business with a minimum of Fuss.

Lennox Lewis was first name that came to my mind.

Ricardo Mayorga a bit as well. He's the only man I've seen take 3 flush power shots and seem to still win the exchange.

I like the Sal Sanchez shout...Recently rewatched Sanchez/Nelson. It was a helluva fast paced fight...and Sanchez wasn't even breathing hard! His conditioning was off the chart!

Monzon is my pick too. What strikes me is that he always keeps a cool look all the time. Never changes the expression on his face.

Toney's the first that came to mind, Barrera also had one of those non-expression changing faces while he fought.
