So....any of ye UK boxing fans know anything about the new management at MTK? What's going on? Sandra Vaughan (and some others) have apparently taken over from "Controversial" Irishman Daniel Kinahan. But has Dk really gone away...or is the new team just a front for him? MTK have just pulled out of Ireland, which to put it mildly is a bit of a blow for a lot of Irish boxers....approx 25-30 are signed to MTK. It's an awful dose no matter how you look at it. Is Sandra Vaughan not MTK in house trainer Danny Vaughan's wife ? If so I am sure the takeover is above board lol.
Sandra vaughan is as shady as **** her ex (a gangster) got kidnapped by the kinahans in spain not long back. The police burst into the room and found him tied up and covered in bruises and no doubt about to be murdered. The vaughans are all shady as **** as well.
So why are all these top boxers using them if they are dodgy? Seem to be all over Boxing at the moment and what’s the link with IFL?
Well in Ireland career options and opportunities for pro boxers are very limited. 29 Irish boxers have thrown in their lot with MTK. Some people are very critical of the boxers...but what else can they do if MTK are the only ones prepared to look after them? Now those 29 Irish pros are caught out badly ....they can no longer fight in their own country.
i understand why some of the younger prospects are with them as they have money, but cannot for the life of me understand why some of the more high profile fighters have any dealings with them at all, i assume they are attracted to the embarrassing 'thug lyfe' mentality that they seem to project and find so attractive. really odd. MTK Global said that none of its owners, managers or boxers “have any connection with crime”. ha ha, what? how many shootings have been connected to them and their fighters? they even changed the name of the company to a character who goes around stabbing people, for what reason? how dare you accuse us of glorifying / being involved with crime...
didnt some gang walk into one of their pressers and gun some fella down with a machine gun recently? ok, they didnt do that themselves, but you dont get that kind of reaction from nowhere. and it isnt the first time one of their boxing people has been shot either.
Mgm as it was previously named, definatly had ties to the irish gangsters, that was well known. It was known in the boxing world and it was known and written about by the irish press, which is the reason why mtk have now pulled out of ireland, it seems. I would expect this vaughen woman to just be a front person. Mtk are trying to distance themselves from the bad press and it looks like venues in the repulic can only get insured with massive premiums. They are trying to clean up there image and putting this woman at the forefront will go towards accomplishing that. It will still be the same old names pulling the strings tho, you can bet.
If price wins this fight you will be found dead anyway, people wouldn't be able to take all of your posts on him becoming the best thing since Garlic bread, so please comment away...
