1. Cain 2. Dos Santos 3. Werdum 4. Silva 5. Fedor 6. Lesnar 7. Carwin 8. Mir 9. Nogueira 10. Overeem Some major changes could happen later this year. If Overeem wins against Werdum, he'll jump at least 7 spots. If Nogueira remains inactive, he will drop from the list after Kharitonov faces the winner of Rogers and Barnett. The winner of the Kharitonov fight will probably come in the 6-8 range. Lesnar can get back in the top 2 with a win over Dos Santos. Dos Santos could become the number 1 guy with wins over Lesnar and Cain. Mir will stay put with a win over Nelson. Mir will drop out of the top 10 with a loss to Nelson. Nelson will need more than the Mir win to get in. That, or Nelson will enjoy a brief stay(cause I'm sure he cares what I think) at number 10 until the Kharitonov/Barnett/Rogers scenario plays out. Carwin will remain where he's ranked if he wins. I'm looking forward to a fun year.
Not bad, still the toughest division to rank I think. Id probably swap Mir & Overeem personally as Rogers was more impressive than Mirs cro cop win and that would push Nog down at 10
1. Cain 2. Dos Santos 3. Werdum 4. Overeem 5. Barnett 6. Lesnar 7. Silva 8. Fedor 9. Carwin 10. Mir I think this would be my ranking now. Nog would probably be number 11 but it is hard to rank him.
How the **** could you have Barnett at 5? He hasnt fought anyone since 2006!! Junior Dos Santos would beat the shhiiiiittt out of Josh Barnett.
Yvel was good enough for JDS right? But not good enough for Barnett? What about Monson former UFC title challenger? Owned an old Rizzo and subbed one of the worlds best Judoka's who was also on the slide in Yoshida. But let me guess JDS gets a pass for beating CC right? Some stellar comp JDS has faced. AA manages to KO Nelson. But JDS goes life and death with the 250lbs of chewed bubble gum. Gonzaga? Even Couture beat him. Get out of here with that Gestapo UFC bull****. Barnett is a lock for the top 10 heavys of ALL TIMES. As well as being one of the top 5 best heavys in the world. No other sport would rank a former world champion with 30 plus fights below a guy who is neither proven, still a prospect and has a mere 12 odd fights or whatever it is.
I cant get over anyone putting lesnar up there in mid table, he doesnt belong on that list full stop.
I believe Barnett is a top 5 all time heavyweight, but he doesn't belong near the top 5 currently. I don't care if Dos Santos only has 13 fights if he is beating quality opponents. If Dos Santos had simply defeated Nelson, Gonzaga, Yvel, Cro Cop, Struve, and Geronimo dos Santos since his last loss, I would not have him above Barnett. JDS had lost to Ferreira, and that is not as forgivable as losing to Nogueira. Barnett's wins since losing to Nog were against Geronimo dos Santos, Siliga, Yvel, Rizzo, Monson, and Yoshida. I think JDS has a slight edge when comparing those opponents, but where he trumps Josh is win over Werdum. Had Werdum never defeated Fedor, I would not have him ranked nearly as high as I do. JDS beat Werdum, has a good win streak going, and gets elevated in the rankings as well.
Youre seriously out of your mind This is more than Barnett has done in 5 years This content is protected Barnett is not even a top 10 fighter Here is life and death according to scurlaruntings http://blog.fightmetric.com/2010/08/dos-santos-vs-nelson-fightmetric-report.html I guess Manny went life and death with Margarito in your twisted mind too... That ****ing fat mess Barnett couldnt handle Crocop when Josh was in his prime. He sure as hell isn't going to handle Dos Santos now that he's an old fat mess.
