I had a mate who mthat happened to and it really took over his life.

One challenge he worked on was making himself dream that he exploded.

hate is a strong word, jodie marsh. My main train of thought is that out of the fab four, Hagler, Leonard, Hearns and Duran, Duran is the weakest of the four, the least talented, the least accomplished against elite competition. And the thing that annoyed me was that there is no discussion on it or reason with his fans. If you question his greatness, the only replies you get are..

    "You know NOTHING about boxing"

"get back to the general forum"

    "montreal duran"

    "past his prime"

    "didnt train"

    "had cramp"

"P4P top 5, no explanation needed"

..but were hijacking the thread, and we've gone over this countless times. So if it is possible lets not make another thread which has nothing to do with Duran, be all about Duran

Yeah its bad stuff. And i can see why its so tempting. If you can truly control your dreams, then you're basically god every night you go to sleep

One thing we might take away from Abdullahs dream is the need for a bloody good film about Harry Greb.

Grebs life story just isn't that filmable. Win, win, win, win, win, win, win...no injustices to rail against, you know? Ketchel first.

The now infamous fair book was written with a view to making a film about it.

Shame that most of what is in it is pure fantasy.

Still I would love to see a recreation of the first Tunney fight.

They can do a damaged eye scene with dramatic music, have it pop out in the middle of a fight...

And the opening scene could be Greb about to fight some huge guy, then a short cutscene of me typing a thread up on ESB about how Greb is folklore, and power puncher typing one up about how huge guys of today would destroy him. Whilst the narrator talks about how the legacy of Greb is lost in time......and then it cuts back to Greb beating the living **** out of the huge opponent(played by Brock Lesnar)

Ur not the only one:good. I too wonder what Tiger Flowers, Harry Greb, Maxie, and a prime SRR looked like on footage. It's a shame:-(

I'm smoking some nice pollen at this point in time. Listening to Eno. Good times.

Supposedly their is footage of Greb and Dempsey sparring. Maybe there isn't. I still hold hope of being to justify a discussion about Greb vs Hagler, Bob Foster or Sugar Ray Robinson.

The 14th and 15th round of the Walker fight. That's all we need :rasta
