Naseem Hamed - JMM

i've often heard that there was a possibility of these two meeting some years ago when naz was still active. can anyone give me any background info on why they were linked in a possible fight and why things didn't work out?

this would have been an awesome fight at FW.... the JMM that fought Pac the first time and the Naseem of the late 90's... electric

 

because marquez was hamed's mandatory defense match and hamed wouldent fight him

JMM by decision unless Hamed catches him with a bomb.

 

If JMM adjusts to hamed's unorthodox style right away, i can see him winning...but if he gets caught like what Pac did it may end differently...not really sure who hits harder between Pac and Hamed, but its just hard to tell

 

The best bet would be a UD in JMM's favour - the fight would unravel in a manner similar to Naz vs Barrera.

However, JMM is prone to the odd knockdown (see Pac fights clearly) and I reckon that Naz hits as hard as Pac (if not harder) and throws punches from unorthodox positions which would catch an opponent off guard.

JMM would outbox Hamed, but would need to be weary of the lead right hook and straight left.

 

jmm would outbox hamed easier than he outboxed pac

 

What Barerra did to Naz in their fight is what JMM does, but he is more of a specialist at it.

I think he would give Naz a boxing lesson but it would be competitive.
