You clearly don't know the meaning of the term "world class"

Hamed beat NINE world champions: Kelley, Ingle, Soto, Bungu, Robinson, Vasquez, Medina, McCullough and Soto. He stopped SEVEN of them.

Some of these guys were multiple world champions (Medina, Kelly) had won belts at three different weights (Vasquez) or were into double figures of succesful title defences (Bungu, Johnson) - yet, you don't think they were "world class?"

Ignorant assesment. That "poor competion" included (beating) every title holder at 126lbs. And half a dozen guys ranked inside the Top Ten, including the #1 ranked FW at the time - Tom Johnson.

One thing I really find amusing in these Hamed threads, is that the people who mock Hamed for being overrated and losing to Barrera, are the same people who hail Hamed as Barrera’s greatest win.

No offence, but that's a load of crap. Nazeem wasn't on any decline, his opposition merely got better.

    Are you serious?

Compare the Naseem in the Robinson fight, to the Naseem in the Augie fight.

Did you see the interview with Warren last week, I think it was on Ringside?

It's probably the first time I've seen him open up about his boxer's...the ones he had successful relationships with, and even the ones that broke down. It's only short, but a good watch. I'll have a look see if I can find it, and post it.

Nice one. I'd look too, but my searching is limited here at work.

Im so ****ing sick of hearing "overrated"

Who cares how other people ****ing rate him. Have you're own opinion and stick to it... An intelligent boxing fan knows exactly what he was, and what he has done.

So people go on on about how Barrera schooled Naz, or showed him to a hype job.

His resume speaks for itself and it is a mighty impressive one. That aside, he made every fight and every interview fun.

As for the Barrera fight, Barrera beat him fair and square in what was a particularly boring fight with very few meaningful shots thrown or landed. Barrera out thought Naz, he didn't out fight him IMO. He had a game plan that nullified Naz's offense, and I think it caught Naz by surprise who was probably expecting a tear up. Had the tear up occured I think we could have witnessed one of the fights of the decade.

I'm not a huge Naz fan, in fact I'm bigger Barrera fan, but Naz was not overrated. And if anything, the manner in which Barrera defeated Naz is hugely overrated. Some people talk as if he destroyed him in a couple of rounds!
