Is not very good. I couldn't believe what I was hearing last night from Sky last night. Oakey was in no shape to take a fight against a young, fit bloke with every physical advantage (except waist size) in the book. I've seen "Clev" get rocked at 168 - he has no business at 175 at all. He will be ok on the domestic scene.. win some/lose some big fights but if he moves beyond that, he's a disasterous KO waiting to happen. I've a feeling his chin is poor. Expect the Amir Khan route of defending his bogus title against random Ghanian's with 15% knockout ratios.

He is ugly, ugly, ugly to watch. So awkward and seemingly not in control of his own body. No power at all (a trait of the Calzaghe gym!) and failed to unload when he could have. A smarter fighter than Oakey would be able to hit Cleverley at will.

I was gutted when I saw Oakey enter the ring. I know the fight was at short notice but jeez he looked far outa shape compared to his usual self. I hope he gets another crack and decent time to prepar. Cleverly won the fight well.

I think you've gone to the other extreme from Sky to be honest. He wasn't that bad at all, moderately impressive infact. Say what you wish about Oakey, but Cleverly did the job he had to and did it clearly enough.

I thought cleverley done well, choosing his shots, mixing them up a bit. Dont forget, hes still only 21, plenty of time....

he is a 21 year old fighter who untill recently been in university doing his Bsc in Mathematicvs so you should see him improve now he has the time to fully put his mind to boxing.
he has no power but seems to have a good work rate and is good at choosing his shots

Thought he was pretty good, good scalp at this early stage of his career.

Cleverley is doing ok considering he has only had 13 fights. Oakey took the fight at short notice and may not have been 100% but he's still a tough cookie and going the distance will have done him some good.

I agree he's not very good, he got a draw against Vages imo, and was badly rocked by him at one point, I think Francis would KO him with the first clean shot, he also seem's to over-rate himself quite a bit. Oakey was very out of shape.

I can't believe how harsh this bashing is?! He's 21 with 13 fights under his belt and commonwealth champ, also still in uni. Maybe I was taken in a bit by the Sky hype but I like what I saw from him, good prospect.

Joey Vegas had him rocking a couple of times in a fight that could have gone either way on points. I remember watching him on another undercard being a bit wobbly against someone else also.

Oakey was highly disappointing the other night - but much of that has to do with his preparation... or lack thereof.

I could understand criticism of Nathan previously. He hadn't replicated what he's been doing in the gym which has impressed the Calzaghes so much and left them very disappointed about him leaving for the time being. His chin still looked too hittable but it was a good night's work where he showed off his offensive ability against a solid pro. He may well struggle at a higher level if he doesn't tighten various things up, but I feel that level of criticism is very harsh at this stage
