What the Shane interview after the fight with Mayorga? or Vargas? I mean honestly the man stated he had plans to take a vacation with his family he has kids, he did not say he wouldnt fight Floyd he said he doesnt know he said he was open to fight him the following year so there was no ducking at all. if this was after the Mayorga fight that happend last year late sept and it was a tuff fight and Floyd wanted to fight in November? if it was the Vargas fight excuse the mix up,,, However one thing is for sure, Had Floyd fought Mosley prior to the fight with DLH, we would have seen DLH Mosley 3 rather than Floyd DLH
That's fine, but get your facts straight. Apparently you do. And on top of that, Shane would have had nothing to prove against a fighter that was a pro for just about a year, maybe perhaps a little over. Just like you wouldn't catch Mayweather right now fighting a fighter that pretty much just got started. Shane would have murdered Floyd back in 99. He would have smoked Floyd's career before it even got started. For someone to say Shane "Ducked" Floyd in 99 is ridiculous.
By 99 Floyd was a world champion with 20 or so fights under his belt, and he had defended his WBC superfeatherweight title 3 times.
And Floyd won't fight Shane now because he want's the winner of Pac/Cotto. That's the way things go, sorry. Call it scheduling conflicts or other issues, or what have you, but the fact is Shane is not the biggest fight for Floyd either in terms or money or exposure to the casual fan. He'll he's not even the most dangerous fight for Floyd. Shane needs to shut up and find SOMEONE to fight. After the Pac/Cotto fight it will become a lot clearer what Mayweather intends to do, but not before it. If Shane waits around for Floyd he's going to have been out of the ring two+ years before he gets another fight, and he's not getting any younger.
Shane is by FAR the most dangerous fight for Floyd. But yes, Shane has to forget Floyd for now and continue to win fights so that eventually Floyd has no choice but to fight him.
