well done to stephen smith l;last night he acquitted himself well but as many have said over the years he would struggle at world level:good he showed though that he can be competitive though and if h can get a couple of wins against decent opposition then he can come an try again:good:good

but where does he go now, id like to see him vs liam walsh in an all british fight for the euro title :good

but could he beat any of the other champions at super feather? i personally don't think so but he could get credit by fighting the likes of jhonny gonzales or rocky martinez after he fights lomachenko :good:good

what would you do next with swifty:huh:good

Swifty has only lost twice, and he was competitive at the weekend, and no shame in his loss to Selby. A decent fighter, he can come again. If he had fought the Super Featherweight version of John Thompson that Liam fought he would be world champion, some fighters get the breaks with weak champions some don't.

He wasn't completely outclassed or stopped and he did have a few good moments.

Only problem is the Super Featherweight division is very good, I think Pedraza beats him again, Lomachenko is fighting for the WBO title, then you have Vargas WBC champion and Uchiyama WBA champion.

It's not going to be any easier going another route and at 30 years old can Smith hang around waiting for what they perceive to be a "weaker" world champion?

I am sure they have a plan to get him back to world title level as quickly as possible but they really are up against it in my opinion.

Laudable effort but I didn't have it anywhere near as close as some did. Smith is simply not world class.

Domestic level fighter. But Hearn will pull an IBF strap out of somewhere for him to fight for.

He also got gifted decisions against John Simpson.. I think against certain fighters he looks fantastic as soon as a live opponent is in he struggles.. Liam Walsh would beat him badly.. Pedraza is a poor champion. uchiama and Vargas are both beatable if they can be made to travel.. Also Roman Martinez holds the strap that Berschelt won the interm title..

For me a good European level fighter but short of world class.

The beatable fighters you have listed are going to have to be paid well above the going rate to travel here to defend their title.Only have to look at some of the farcical scorecards in the UK the last couple of years!

Lomachenko will beat everyone up to Welterweight.. Martinez won't fight him in my opinion.
