Is there any sign of Nick Blackwell getting a fight soon?

Or is he just oing to squander his career fighting 3 times a year typically once against a 'name' sandwiched in between two roadsweepers. Such a waste - such a shame!

    Whats the problem with Nick?
    Why isnt he making progress?

    As in Eubanks next fight?

Because hes fighting a higher world ranked opponent than Saunders in his next fight and will get a shot at the WBA regular title.

He fought Saunders and one judge gave him the win. How did Blackwell do against saunders?

Blackwell is yesterdays man. Hos claim to fame is apparently doing well in sparring with Eubank.

Eubanks team pulled out of 2.purse bids for blackwell fight which the board ordered and blackwell was paid step aside money for eubank and saunders to go ahead as he was saunders mandatory.

Saunders lost and was neaten convincingly. Eubank had Saunders on the verge of being stopped in the last round. Eubank was the stronger fighter in the last round even though Saunders was in the best shape of his life coming in to the ring actually looking like a middle weight rather than a fat welter because he knew Eubank is a genuine talent and that he wouldn't get away with being the same shape he had in all his previous fights.

We only have Blackwells word on this sparring. It was interesting after asking for a fight with Eubank just prior to the Saunders fight that being interviewed in the arena immediately after the Eubank v Saunders fight he had changed his tune and was mentioning fighting Ryder! He knew he'd just seen someone he cant beat

The proof is in the pudding. Eubank is fighting someone ranked higher than Saunders. Whats Blackwell doing?

    Probably reading this ****ed off.

You mean he just saw the opportunity to be the first man to beat CEJ go up in smoke cos Billy Joe got there first.....and shifted his focus accordingly.

Also CEJ got a gift from that judge - he's till parasiting off his daddys clout I see - BJS totally won that fight by a country mile against the much bigger heavier but but crude clueless clodhopper Eubank. :bart :thumbsup

No he didn't plenty thought eubank won it was a close fight Saunders won the fight 115-113 in my score bit it was very close a less strict ref and it could easily have gone the other way. I haven't seen the chudinov lad but I hear he's pretty good I thought eubank would be better of fighting etches or Blackwell or even another bum first

What struck me about the fight is how POOR it was.
Both BJS and more so CEJ were really bad in there - very poor. The fight was a HUGE disappointment, didnt live up to the hype at all.

Very forgettable crude sloppy swing-fest. Both men looked decidedly amateurish to me. I was very disappointed BJS didnt box better - think he overtrained and/or the occasion and his own temprement, and his personal dislike of Eubank got to him.

BJS v Blackwell was a much better performance by Billy Joe IMO.

Having seen both fights, I can say without a doubt that Blackwell boxed better - much better - than CEJ.
Anybody who knows what he is looking at could see CEJ totally lacks the basic fundamental skills of boxing. Nick on the other hand boxed very well against BJS - a much tidier boxer, better balance, skills, accuracy, fitness, composure, temprementetc etc - just a better boxer all round really....

The CEJ - BJS fight was a huge let-down - didnt live up to the hype at all. No point in a rematch of that (cringe).

Isn't he next in line for a shot at the British title?

Would like to see him catch a break - good fighter.
