Is back in hospital after having surgery to reduce swelling on his brain, following a sparring session.

Dear me what is this man thinking.

I can't help but feel rather angry about this, it sort of reminds me of those idiots that do extreme sports, do some sort of jump and end up hitting the side of a mountain, then they obviously need recusing and brave people really do risk their lives pulling them to safety and the first thing they say is "I can't wait for all my bones to heal so I can jump again".

Blackwell had all our thoughts and prayers, some people donated money to a fund, Blackwell was given the best of care and somehow (depending on your beliefs) was given a second chance at life, he made a full recovery, he has a family's that must have been through hell and the selfish moron goes to gym and spars.

I honestly do feel for his family and friends and hope they are OK and are coping with this but I have no sympathy for Blackwell, I do not wish anybody harm, I'm not that sort of person and I don't wish Blackwell any harm and wish this never happened but I can't have sympathy for him, it's self inflicted and so selfish.

    I just dont get it.

The man has been given another chance in life, after his other extremely and potentially life threatening scare.
I understand that it is hard for the guy having his career ending early, but jesus christ it was because of an injury that could have ended his life.

I understand also that he misses the buzz, the fighting/sparring/gym banter etc etc.

But for gods sake where was one single brain cell in that gym, (No Offence to Nick) that even if they thought it was wrong him doing it, why did they not SAY IT.

When you are told it is over and you can not risk fighting any more, because it WILL have serious repercussions, then you listen, and if you dont, then the people around you who are probably very experienced, should know by allowing it, and knowing the risks, and thinking it is ok it's just a spar should be reprimanded.

I do not wish harm on any fighter, whether i like him or not, and i hope he is OK.

Total stupidity on all who participated
