WBN can confirm the return of the ‘Dark Destroyer’, British legend Nigel Benn for a comeback fight towards the end of 2019.

Speaking to son Conor, an undefeated professional in his own right, WBN were informed of a ‘guaranteed’ return to action for Benn.
Link not working for some reason but was from World Boxing News

“There’s an opponent who has signed a contract. It’s a former WBC world champion and who fought only two years ago."

    Chad Dawson? Tarver? RJJ?

They mention Bika, who fits the bill.
Dawson is "active", RJJ fought 1½ years ago and Tarver hasn't fought for 4 years and had 2 doping violations in a row.

Rightly or wrongly, I'm certain that Benn V Roy Jones would sell out the O2

Yeah so won't be Tarver then for sure. I just checked and Dawson was last out in 2017 v Fonfara so would fit the bill. Like you said though he's quite active so would be a bad idea for that reason I think! Bika it looks like then. This does sound genuine though in terms of a fight happening

Dawson's last fight was against a journeyman just a couple of months ago, after being out for over 2 years.

I wish he'd just f**k off to be honest with you. When he referred to Conor as a white version of himself I could never take him seriously again.

I'm sure he who cares so much about fighter safety could get the Luxembourg Boxing Federation to sanction it.
