not only have we lost bunce boxing hour, but we've also lost the best commentator in the business :|

Richie woodhall was an education to listen to, the guy shits more boxing then those muppets on sky never forget the way he broke down the fighters style, what they needed to do in order to win and picked up on things the blow by blow guy missed (like povetkins faints) and anyone who makes that bbc amataur boxing commentator bearable is doing something right

Another classy post on a sad day for us boxing fans. I think Woodhall will be back commentating, though. He has a very natural knack for it and was always a pleasure to listen to.

Totally agree.... a few fighterss hould take a leaf out of his book... he openly admitted that he did not deserve to win the Catley fight is the true honest nature and humility of the bloke..... he will not struggle to get work commentating on boxing for sure :good

Like I said in another thread, once we're sure on their UK strategy we should all petition the **** out of them for boxing coverage and the boxing hour. They'll listen to all of us en mass as we're all worth ~£10 to them a month- they have no choice if we get some weight behind a campaign. When it comes to money, companies almost always listen to the customers.

he does a bit of work for 5 live, but they chop and change and only do the occasional big fight anyway

i've never understood why sky haven't got him on board when they employ guys like piper and nelson
