Who Joseph Parker will fight next is still anybody's guess.

With the WBA now joining the WBO in giving Tyson Fury 10 days to give reason why he shouldn't be stripped there are potentially opportunities aplenty.

 

Parker 2.5kg heavier than his fight against Takam. Looks like pushing tin has beefed him up abit. This is the first time he was included weights into his training camps, previously is was all body weight exercises.

 

Far from an ideal ending, but Joseph Parker proved yet again he is a force to be reckoned with.

 

Yep - Parker would get more out of sparring sessions in camp than what was in front of him though.

 

Joseph Parker's promoters 95% sure title fight against Andy Ruiz will be in Auckland

Joseph Parker's promoters, Duco, say they are 95 per cent through negotiations for holding a world heavyweight boxing title fight in Auckland against Andy Ruiz Junior on December 10.

Duco's Dean Lonergan spoke to Bob Arum, Ruiz Jr's promoter, on Saturday, several hours before Parker's victory over Alexander Dimitrenko in Manukau.

The conversation was a good one. Lonergan said of his dealings with Top Rank promoter Arum: "We settled on the fight being held in New Zealand. We settled on a date which is December 10, and we're within cooee of settling on the money.

"We have a lot of work to do but I would say right now that we are 95 per cent sure the fight will be held right here in New Zealand and more than likely Auckland given it's the biggest market."

Lonergan said Eden Park, North Harbour Stadium and Mt Smart were outdoor options for the fight, with the downtown Vector Arena the indoor option.

Apart from money, the fight is also contingent on WBO and WBA champion Tyson Fury being stripped of his belts, which appears only a formality.
