That doesn't sound too good seeing as how he's facing OQUENDO, who, judging by past threads is under the radar on ESB.
Oquendo had to pull out. Sounded like he didn't get permission from a parole officer to leave Illinois or something. He's now facing TBA.
Odlanier is teh future. I was hoping for a Solis - Haye rematch Actually that was before hayes stock died after over a year of doing nothing.
Really? That's good news,,, I was afraid it might be too late to find a replacement. Solis dosn't get alot of respect, but imo he's easily one of the best HW prospects out there right now. (I know, that's not saying much) He's gotta stay busy, and lose that GUT!
i know solis as soon as he steps it up sometime! he will get exposed! He has some skills though but not enough for a world title
The Cuban Heavyweights tend to have a major problem with their diets and their weight once they defect to the USA. Back in Cuba, they were basically malnutritioned even the top level athletes like Solis was. When they get here they start eating like in a Palace full of delights and no one can blame them. Now, Solis in his last interview a couple of days ago seemed in better shape as his face looked slimmer as he has been training for 4 months now with his former Cuban amateur coach. He looked to me as if he is around 240lbs or 245lbs which is a good weight for him! As for Oquendo, forget him. Solis has bigger and better things in his career. Toney? NO WAY, SOLIS WILL DEFEAT THIS OLD TIMER EASILY. Monte Barret is a good experienced fighter for Solis but that will be an easy win for the Cuban from Habana. Oquendo, step aside and let the young guns perform now as your time as well as your chances have past. :bart
