who was the bigger or indeed 'better' pucher.

take into account opposition as well as aesthetics .

For me Olivares at his peak. Chavez was great and even bettter when right in front of you. Olivares seemed to be able to box at range and throw long shots that had ko power on the end of them.

Olivares had a fair amount more p4p power then Chavez. Both great punchers.

Oh, Olivares was the bigger puncher...Chavez more or less was an accumulation puncher..but in his prime Olivares was a killer power puncher.

i thought the same as Fleaman misspelt it twice.

I'd say Olivares was the bigger puncher. He was more explosive whereas Chavez was what i call a strong hitter but he lacked that BOOM in his shots.

For example Olivares vs Rose, Olivares comes out quick closes the distance and land fast powerful, explosive shots and stops Lionel Rose early.

Chavez never really won fights quick he normally broke them down and stopped them late or won on points. Against Taylor he slowly wore him down with punches but none was as Explosive as Olivares's punches and lacked the BOOM as i said earlier.

However i think Chavez's punches would do more accumlative damage and stay with you whereas Olivares's wore off quicker but were more damaging.

Aesthetically, Olivares looks so much more powerful he looks like a mini beast the way he lands his shots. Chavez lands tidear cleaner shots.

Olivares for power, Chavez a bit better overall technically...he was a much more two-handed fighter than Olivares.

Fo sheer one-punch ability zamora was the best imo.
