oliver Mcall 2nd fight

In the second fight against lennox what happend as the man guy looks to have the heart of a lion.:huh

 

He was not mentally prepared for that fight, not that it would have mattered if he was. He was in and out of crack houses leading up to that fight but King made him fight as he was trying anything to retain control of the WBC belt.

King promoted Mcall. He manuevered him into a mandatory shot against Lewis, but Mcall was not ready for the fight. King forced him into the fight anyway and the rest is history, he had a breakdown in the ring. Mcall should not have been allowed to fight that night, but Im sure King greased someone to have them look the other way.

 

So does anyone think that a motivated in shape Mcall could have won the second fight as well?

Or was Lennox just too good by then?

 

lennox was too good by then. i think that was part of the breakdown in the ring.

 

Lewis always had talent, but he needed a lot of refining in the ring. He was a very crude fighter up until that point, so it was a good wakeup call for him to get some help. Probably the best thing that could have happened to him.
That being said Mcall could have done it again if Lewis didnt seek better ring smarts because he approached all opponents the same, whether they could be knocked out or not he fought with a lot of recklessness.
