I never got to see the Mccall/Douglas. If anyone has it can they post in on youtube? Mccall is the one that warned Tyson about Douglas but Tyson toke him lightly.
Aside from his weird bad habits like melting down and closing his eyes when he punches, Oliver is a decently skilled guy with a good punch and maybe a chin to rival Chuvalo (wonder how he'd held up against Foreman if he didn't mentally break). Seems like a good guy from what I've seen of him out of the ring. His longevity is pretty surprising given how some far better fighters from his era are long, long gone.
me too. 1. Vitali Klitschko 2. Lennox Lewis 3. Wladimir Klitschko 4. David Tua 5. Evander Holyfield 6. Mike Tyson 7. Muhammad Ali 8. Larry Holmes 9. James Douglas 10. Oliver McCall should be also considerred : Joe Louis , Ike Ibeabuchi , Chris Byrd , Riddick Bowe , George Foreman , Alexander Povetkin (he still has the chance to be there but does not deserve it yet) back to mccall : his wilson and diaz fights are not mentioned. i saw his (dirty) fight against diaz. it was nice to see diaz trying to butt mccall in the clinch from above without crouch using a turn of his head. also mccall won it by holding and hitting , without the holding he could not have KO diaz. but diaz is underestimated and so does darroll wilson.
From the fights I saw I think Bruno seemed to 'hurt' him the most - in round 3. Never saw the Seldon fight where McCall was apparently wobbled.
The thing with Mcall that made you know his chin was so great was the way in which he got hit. He got hit cleanly by massive shots. He didnt just take half shots or grazing shots, he usually walked into or was getting hit dead accurately by monstrous shots and kept going.
