Bit of help needed lads, just entering into the draw for 2012 semi final tickets and am wondering of the 2 sessions on the 10th of August, which is the one that features weight classes that GB potentially will get to the Semi's in? Daytime: Light Fly, Bantam, Light Welter, Middleweight, Heavyweight Evening: Flyweight, Lightweight, Welterweight, light heavy and super Heavy Despite a limited knowlege of Amutuer boxing I know Bradley Saunders (Light Welter) is **** hot as is Khalid Yafai (Fly) but other than those two which session would you be going to, to hopefully see some of the British lads in action? I was going to go as well until I realised you can only pay online via visa card (I have a mastercard) as S&C stated the ams are ****ed, I tend to end up watching the scoring in the corner each time a punch is thrown to see if it is counted, even Manny Steward states similar. couple of Welsh lads though that are worth a watching Fred Evans, Andrew Selby and Danny Chapman
I applied for tickets today, afternoon semi-finals. Also applied for the football final and the opening ceremony (I live 10 minutes away) The Excel centre only seats 10,000 max. according to Wikipedia, so the cheapest tickets shouldn't be too bad... I'll just bring binoculars with me, in case.

Can't remember exactly what I applied for, only the opening ceremonies, major finals and some triathlon as well.
Can you expand on that, Mate? :think I'm not aware of any change, apart from them going back to 3x3's. I'm pretty sure the scoring system is still the same, with the 3 of the 5 judges having to touch the button within a second of eachother. It would be great if they indeed have change it though.
ah bollocks i was gonna make a thread asking for some advice on this and applied for some daytime semi final tickets looking like the evening is the place to be. Finals were too expensive and the victory ceremony sounds like a chore to watch. Hopefully get a chance to see some future greats of Harrisons caliber
Just to let you know Tom Stalker has stepped up weight to Light-Welter 64kg, has been struggling to get down to 60kg for a few months and feels right at 64kgs
Just been speaking to someone who is normally "in the know" and 90% of all boxing dates, bascailly everything before Semi-final rounds, has been under-subscribed!
