Hernandez has just beat the World Silver Medalist!! What a beastly performance.

A day of big upsets. That's a big scalp. Credit to Hernandez and the US coaches. He's come on considerably. And it wasn't a fluke - he showed skills.

 

Billy Walsh seems to be making a difference.

 

Josh Kelly looks a very interesting fighter in terms of style, I hope he pulls it out of the bag now.

I thought the Egyptian deserved the round definitely. They didn't give him the round.

 

Russian got robbed vs the American.

 

He lost the first two rounds, despite throwing a lot of ineffective volume. I think he underestimated Hernandez.

Julio Cesar La Cruz probably favourite for Val Barker etc.. but Joe Ward is a good boxer too..

I don't believe that at all. Vasilii's work was largely ineffective aggression. I'm aware they reward aggression, but his was notably ineffective and Nico was setting up great scoring punches very intelligently.

It was definitely a Nico Hernandez win.
