I don’t see the fight happening as Miller wants to hang around for a title shot. If it somehow did it’s a tough one to call as I think both are overrated. One thing I’ll give Miller is he does seem to have a good gas tank which could be the difference over Ortiz who seems to gas easily. Fury came back from a massive weight loss and years inactive to put more work in than Ortiz did against Wilder...

Miller by sheer body mass and youth.
Both would be slapped down by Wilder, Joshua and Fury.

Ortiz KO's him. You don't beat Ortiz by taking the fight to him, he'll counter your head off unless your elusive on the way in, which Miller isn't. Miller has the high guard no head movement style that Jennings uses and we all saw what happened to Jennings. I think Miller will do better than Jennings and make a fight of it but his chin gives out before Ortiz's stamina does.

    Miller would never fight Ortiz.

But... in another reality, if they fought, Ortiz knocks him out in 8.

Ortiz looked bad this weekend imo... and unfortunately for him I think he is now 'ready to be fought' by the rest of the top guys finally. And after that performance Id now favor quite a few guys over him that I wouldnt have previously.

Miller is not one of them.

Ortiz starts taking over after the 3rd and starts breaking him down after the 5th, stops him in 8.

He does seem to have a good gas tank, SEEM being the significant word. People said the same about Wilder and even Arreola but we've seen them struggle when pushed.

Miller's stamina looks good when he's controlling the pace. He seems relaxed in the ring, but what if he's in a tough fight, behind on the cards and having to push himself, will he be so relaxed then? Also he conserves energy by throwing a lot of light arm punches, he's active but not using much energy in doing this, but if struggling and behind on the scorecards and needing a KO and throwing more big punches, how will his stamina look then?

Ortiz would win UD and have better distance control against easy to hit Miller who has trouble with multiple punches at a time and only throws back when opponents stop punching. Ortiz wouldn't be there to land back on. Ortiz will slow late , maybe lose the last 2 rounds . Ortiz wins around 8 rounds.

Miller would tire Ortiz and TKO him.

Good point. Also, Kauffman's got a real underrated chin. I know Arreola was shot, but he still punches hard and was banging them off Kaufman all night to no effect when they fought.

This would be a great fight that could go either way, but Ortiz would and should be the favorite for the stylistic reason and because Ortiz is just more proven.

Miller's mental strength would be tested. If he's willing to walk through hell, he could get a late rounds tko. If he chooses to go into safety first mode, he'll lose a decision.

i really hope this fight happens cause it makes alot of sense: with the logjam at the top with the wilder/fury draw, this certainly makes sense for both. Ortiz already had his shot, and while he did well, he wont get another one any time soon. miller has looked really good lately, but he lacks that one signature win. Ortiz would provide that.

to me, this fight depends on how good millers chin really is: he has walked through shots of the like of dinu……….but Ortiz is a different Level entirely. if he can take Ortiz shot and Keep Pressing, i see him Winning by late stoppage.
