Oscars face seemed awfully scuffed up for a guy who won every round?
I think he got hit more than the cards were showing. He is in for a very rough time vs Cotto.

Cotto? PBF is going to give him an early retirement package

Oscar is getting a lot of heat for this fight, and partly I do agree that the performance was sub-par. However, It is good news that Oscar was throwing more jabs, and throwing more punches later in the fight: And if he did that when he faught Floyd he would have won

His face never had a mark on against Mayweather the first time. It actually looked worse against Forbes.

It means he was hit. Ive seen Whitaker and Pep in worse states.

The condition of a fighters face means zero in terms of how he performed to a certain extent.

True. A fighter can be badly cut by one punch

i can add that theres fighters who lose badly but still has an ok face, means face condition is irrelevant

and there are fighters that win, but display a worse mug than their opponent. Like PBF did against Oscar. Floyd clearly won but had the swollen eye and busted nose.

Stevie Forbes threw more punches at De La Hoya than Mayweather did.

I think DLH v Forbes was exactly what DLH needed.

The brilliance is amazing. We see two fights. The first fight is between Oscar and Floyd, in which Oscar gasses late and loses a split decision taking basically no punishment and ending the fight looking like he's ready for a photo shoot. The second fight is against Forbes in which he dominates and seems to have much improved stamina, wins almost every round but gets marked up in the process. And from this, we come to the conclusion that Mayweather is gonna really hurt him in the rematch and Oscar shouldn't even take the fight now?????

Both Zab and Ricky were beating PBF early on as well but same result. DLH will need alot more than the jab to win.

True enough, my only point was that if he was banged that much by the light fisted Forbes, it could be a preview of things to come. I think he is done, has been since the Hopkins fight. This was probably his last win. The bigger point is that these guys never know when to stop. They just keep fighting till they ruin their legacy, and/or their health. Despite all his money and success its a sad insight to his mental health, and sense of self-worth? Makes the fishnet stocking pics easier to understand.
