Ocasio was a very good fighter for the Cruiserweight division. if he had stayed in that division, he most likely would have had a long title reign. As a heavyweight his main asset was taken, Speed plus he didn't have the big punch to keep the Heavies off of him. But as a Cruiser he moved well & was very good at counterpunching. Would have been an interesting match up prime for prime with fellow PR Cruiserweight Champion Carlos De Leon. Although I would have to go with Carlos.

'Awkward bugger' was how I'd usually describe him...Duo has already nailed just about everything about him in detail. I didn't know the first Dokes-Ocasio fight was seen as a gift for Dokes.

Lewis did say Ocasio was the first guy to give him a 'wake-up punch' as a pro.

Ossie did the smart thing that Leon Spinks didn't do right away, and that was drop down to win the Cruiserweight title.
