p4p no1 history

    Who was considered p4p no 1 in the last 50 years?

    now its Pac, before him mayweather but who was it before that?? Jones Jr? Tyson? Lewis?

    Anyone care to enlighten me?

    I think he means at the actual time as in who did Pac win it from and who did Floyd win it from.

    Pac
    Mayweather
    Hopkins
    Trinidad
    Mosley
    De La Hoya
    Roy Jones



    before that you probably had Whitaker, Chavez, Tyson..

    Sugar Ray Robinson helped popularize the term but other fighters before him that were called the best "pound-for-pound" were Bob Fitzsimmons and Tony Canzoneri.

    It obviously wasn't taken as seriously back then as it often is nowadays.
