i dont agree that the lower weight classes are a small pond. latinos and asian fighters all over the world are too many not to mention the small caucasians and blacks who fight in the lower weight classes compared to the number of caucasians and blacks who fight in the higher weight classes. not to mention that most whites and blacks in Europe and US go to football and basketball and other team sports

 

But you are associating entire human races or nationalities with boxing ability/diversity. Inheritance definately plays a part but not even near as broadly as you are insisting. Furthermore, the greater diversity of boxing ability (Skills, endurance, brutality etc..) is seen among Latino (actually a great mixture of races) fighters who mostly dominate everything under Jr. middle.

 

..and Latin countries that do have taller populations such as Panama and Jamaica have had their fair share of successful middleweights and occasionaly even in heavier weight classes
