What a terrible fight. Mikey is spent goods after being dominated by Spence. I suppose Pac sees this as easy average income fight, with the PPV draw Mikey is from Latino fans. Pac v Crawford or Spence is what we need...
It’s a shame Mikey’s stock has fallen so far, despite only losing to a much bigger, p4p ranked guy. Not too long ago this would have been a welcome, buzzworthy fight. It seems that this is what Mikey’s weight gain and inactivity hath wrought. I’m thinking he’ll probably retire, win or lose.
If he was spent, he'd have likely lost to Vargas. It's not a bad fight at all, considering Pac's age and size.
Nor were Broner, Matthysse, Vargas and Horn. It´s about the money. Looks like Mikey brings the type of money Manny wants. But I wonder, is it DAZN who is picking up the tab here? Since Mikey is working with Hearn, or at least he was.
This is not a fight I wanna see at all. I don't even wanna personally see Mikey compete above 140. Pac I'd like to see retire but I know he won't unless Spence or Crawford get him and force him into retirement. SMH
Spence was very weary of Mikey's power and Mikey put the worst beating on Vargas. Hurt him more than any opponent including Pacquiao. Everybody's focusing on Mikey's loss to Spence, but it was his first fight at 147 and he was shut out, but took almost no damage. You forget Mikey has elite timing with an elite right hand. And Mikey is a harder stylistic matchup for Pac than Spence. But Crawford is a harder stylistic matchup than both. Dangerous match up for Pac.
