Hes been knocked down several times very early in his career by not so heavy handed fighters, but the more he moves up in weight it seems like it gets stronger.

It's pretty good. He took some good shots from Morales cleanly and Barreras as well. Marquez did stun him though in the last fight but with that being said I think he has a good chin overall.

it's all he relies on for defence. He has taken some solid shots from Marquez, Barrera, and Morales. Hell yeah he's got a good chin. But if he takes a solid DLH left hook, I'll really be impressed. even more than Margos chin.

With 5/10 as average, 8 as excellent and 10 as ATG,

    Chin toughness Against

    Jr Featherweights: 7/10
    Featherweights: 7/10
    Jr. Lightweights: 7/10
    Lightweights: 6/10

    I'm serious.

He's not a granite jawed warrior like In Jin Chi for example. Now that Korean's got a hard head.

Manny is able to hide this flaw in his armor well because his opponents are afraid to go all out and blitz him, for fear of getting KTFO.

If Pac had 5/10 punching power, he'd get steamrolled by all his opponents.

He's just such a game fighter that always somehow finds a way to win.

Tough to hit Pacquiao anyway. He has great upperbody movement that makes it hard to hit him.

It is definitely better than MAB's and JMM's but lower than Morales' and Guzman's chin.

    A solid, tough, above-average chin

    Thanks.

i'm a fan of his, but I gotta tell it like I see it.

He's only fought 1 LW. A relatively light punching (for his weight class) David Diaz.

And did you see how Pac's head snapped back and rattle whenever Diaz connected an off timed jab or hook?

Look at that fight again. I watched tons of Pac's fights and I know when he felt someone's power.

Manny felt it. He got buzzed for a second, shook the tiny cobwebs out of his head and marched on.

Agreed. His power makes other fighters be cautious around him so its really hard to judge his chin. I would say its a little above avg. He has taken shots from MAB Morales and Marquez but these guys were not 1 punch KO artist. And when they did hit him flush they didnt persue it much do the the respect for his power.

He's only been stopped from bodyshots, which often are a nightmare for weight drained fighters.

    Food for thought.

That's a myth, probably spread by Pacdbest.

His first ever loss was a one punch KO to the chin.

Looping left to Pac's chin. I watched that fight when it was first aired on Philippine TV.

It was an arching punch, hit the tip of Pac's chin, and it ricocheted or followed through, downwards because of momentum.

It seemed like a lowblow because of the very poor video quality.

But it was a head shot. I saw it "live".
