Is it just me or does Manny look a little soft? I saw the pictures at the weigh in yesterday and compared to how he usually looks I just got the impression he wasn't as ripped as he usually is. I know he's fighting above his natural weight at a career high (I think?) but still is that few extra pounds enough to make him look that way?

Glad i wasn't the only one who didn't think he was as ripped as he normally is.

he must be off the a-side

  5. #1 This thread has been made at least 4 times since the weigh-in.

#2 If you can't figure out why a guy fighting well out of his weight class looks a little softer than usual, it's time to consider therapy.

It's probably just me man. Doesn't help standing next to Clottey to be fair.

    Great constructive answer :patsch

I was posing the question whether he had got his condition right that's all. As for the thread being started already, I'm posting on my iPhone and really can't be ****ed to go trawling through the forum to check. It's just a few thoughts jeez.

He didn't look that different to me. To be fair, anybody looks soft standing next to Joshua Clottey.

He still looks in great shape, just not horribly dried out like he has been in the past.

I think it was more of an issue this time to retain weight.
He ate a breakfast and lunch before weigh in. That means water retention. Makes a big difference in "looks"

Look at some of the pictures from the fight.
You will notice how he looks more "chiseled" by the end due to loss of water.

He did look softer than when he moved up to 135 and above than how we was at 130 and below. He was really ripped in the lower weights.

Insane conditioning. Imagine if we had 15 round fights. He would be unstoppable! Guy is a freak. Or maybe a freak on steroids. I can't decide.

    I joke of course.
