Firstly guys what did you think of this performance from pascal and also what are your future predictions about this guy. I'd like to say that i didnt really liked the hype around diacanu becuase I felt his knockout power alone wasnt enough for him to reach elite level. Also i'd like to let you guys know that the froch fight was bound to make pascal an underdog in this match and thats why I put £500 on pascal too win. I felt he'd out box diacanu fairly easily, but he did impress me wen he rocked pascal
Great fight! I would love to see a rematch. I was not as impressed with Pascal's work as some people. Thought he may have won the fight but not by the margins they had on those scorecards. Diaconu needs to start faster and not give away so much early trying to get into the fight.
Pascal has shown great punch resistance and recovery, great stamina, wonderful punch selection, speed, timing and he has shown that he can deploy a fight plan and stick to it, which some people were rightly worrying about after his Froch fight. These attributes can take a fighter a long, long way. I'm very interested to see what happenes next. There was a "star is born" feeling about last night, but that needs to be tempered by the fact that he lost to Froch last time out, about whom we do not know all the answers...perhaps Pascal has been let off the leash a little bit at 175, we shall see.
