I agree, Peterson was forcing Khan to push off, after the first point deduction you see it have a massive impact on Khans fight for the next round or so, he has Peterson giving him a bull rush and doesn't know what he should do about it.

Biased ref IMO, I didn't have it particularly close and had Khan winning it by a good few rounds. If I disregard the biased refs point deductions, it's an even clearer win for Khan.

Khan's been duducted two points...the difference is Floyd stopped when penalized the first time, and hasn't been penalized since, Khan didn't do that and it worked against him. Not sure what the gripe is, are you disputing it being a foul...you don't think blatant fouls should be enforced?

Floyd to slick and too black to be penalized. When Floyd pushes off the ref automatically deducts a point from his opponent Floyds so slick.

From rounds 3-12 khan had a total push count of 49 double armed pushes. Not to mention the pulling the head down.

Even with the point deductions I had Khan winning by a point. No idea how he lost. At least there is an immediate rematch. And hopefully it'll be another great fight.

meh floyd does things illegal too. The constant elbowing, the holding and then punching, and not to mention the pulling of the head down too. I think the fact that Floyd is one of the most popular fighters, he's treated a lot differently from fighters like khan. He'll get away with it, but someone like khan will not.

The reason why people are making such a big deal is because of how seldom boxers are penalized for non-major violations such as pushing. But hey, it IS illegal, and the ref was within his rights in deducting points. Most refs - even well respected ones like, say, Kenny Bayless, e.g., probably wouldn't have deducted points, but that's life. This was one of those "different ref, different result" fights...

...I thought Peterson won with the point deductions, and w/o them, Khan wins by the skin of his teeth.

I wouldn't call it a robbery....but I'm with you on the BS ref. I knew right off the bat that clown was going to be OVER officiating based on his "throw thunder" one liner at the start of the fight.:rofl

He did warn Khan for pushing off but there were no warnings thrown at Peterson who was coming in low with his head and did tend to come up towards Khans head.

And then he was constantly calling "KAHN, KAHN, KAHN"...the entire fight. Khan was definitely at a disadvantage with the CLEARLY biased ref....but it was a close fight. I thought Khan won even with the two point deduction but he had to know that he would have to beat the hometown fighter convincingly if he wanted a decision. That was close and I can't call it a robbery but I will call it an unfair fight.

Me too. It was a shame that the fight was skewed by bad officiating but I give props to both fighters. I'm glad DC has a world Champion even if I didn't think he won. He still made me proud. He fought his ass off against a fighter with more tools and bigger power. I want to see a rematch but they need a new person in charge of picking referees.
