He was more technically sound according to modern criteria. Tunney held his hands low and pulled his head back, and that is not technically sound in modern boxing. Of course, Ali did the same and that didn't bring Floyd any happiness.
I like Tunney by TKO or UD....Gene showed good recup vs Dempsey and good Heavyweight power and speed...Floyd had excellent speed and power but I think Gene was the better fighter...good matchup and good fight
