The slick tomato can who makes for horrible fights and has the tendency to quit....hmmmm....I wonder which 'big names' will be interested in fighting him. He's a bum and disgrace who should stick to fighting club fighters.

    :huh

Remind me how many fights of his you have ever seen?

And give me an even better laugh at outlining how he "quit" when the referee and doctor called a halt to the fight in one of the most baffling sequence of events I have ever seen!

A guy that takes 6,000 travelling fans to see a fight will always get another chance. :deal

I've seen enough to deduce he's a can :deal

He got the chance of a lifetime and was asking the doctor how bad his cut was :patsch, then quit (easy payday) but after his promoter threw a tantrum in the ring he suddenly became animated and started crying about the injustice.

Your a dumbass, if he was a can he would never have won the european title, fair enough hes probably not world level and never will be, but to call him a can is stupid.

He had a chance to fight at world level against Khan and McColskey managed to lose every single round of the fight. Heck he lost every single exchange.

Every time they met and threw punches he was beat to the punch. Without exception

Mcloskey only landed 1 punch which was the straight left on Khan's chin. Was a good punch.

You seem like a pretty intelligent guy. Which of his fights have you watched?

After he got headbutted and opened up by Khan do you not think that asking the doctor how bad the cut was is a legitimate question? I would certainly want to know - I am sure he was expecting that the doctor would have enough unbiased knowledge of the fight game if he was put in charge of a world title fight and I am sure he wouldnt have been expecting to be ****ed over in the manner that he was.

Its a pretty lazy and dumb astertion to to think he quit because he asked if the cut was bad. Its the first question the comes into a boxers mind, the only thing is that usually they look at the cut in a neutral corner or with the fighters cuts man and then cuts man usually tells him "its fine" - the funny (or not so funny) thing is that his corner stopped the bleeding in five seconds - why wasnt the fight allowed to continue until the end of the round and allow the cutsman to work on the cut.

Its a really dumb, childish and most of all disrespectful thing to say that he quit in those circumstances. But thats just my opinion and we dont have to agree on everything.

kotelnik lost every round against khan as did malignaggi and both barely landed a decent punch on khan , dos that mean there both below world level or cans ???

kotelnik was robbed against alexander who is supposedley "world class" !!!

ESB boxing fans have to be the most least knowledgeable fans ive ever came across especially the yanks !!!

Why are we still talking about this quitter? The dude fought not to lose. He was just happy to be in the ring and get a huge payday aka Kevin Johnson vs klit. Then he saw a little blood got scared and quit like Devon Alexander. Dude is a bum scrub.

Why do people open a McCloskey thread then say why are we still talking about him? Plenty more threads so just move on unless you've some interest in what Dudey does next.

As stated anyone that takes 6,000 fans to an away fight will always get another chance.

People assumed this was gonna be a 1 round blow out like Salita & although Khan had by some margin the better of the first 6 rounds.

Also, if Maidana was stopped after 6 v Khan & it went to the scorecards it would have been a similar scorecard with Khan bossing the early 6 rounds & scoring a knock out.

Hope Dudey gets a chance, why not stick him & Maidana on the Khan v Bradley undercard. Imo Dudey outboxes Maidana.
